Kansas Advanced Practice Task Force Updates

2015 Legislative Plan

The APRN scope of practice bill will be re-introduced in the 2015 legislative session. The APRN Taskforce will continue to campaign for our bill, with plans to inform and invite all APRNs to join the campaign. We will continue to contract the services of our same lobbyist, Mary Ellen Conlee, who has been with us for the past four years. With her guidance, we will coordinate a grassroots campaign, continue efforts to talk to legislators and monitor activity during the legislative session. Representatives of the Taskforce will continue to meet with physician representatives from Kansas Medical Society, Kansas Academy of Family Physicians, Kansas Board of Healing Arts and Kansas Osteopathic Association.
