Overview:

We are seeking a licensed and experienced Physician to provide comprehensive medical care to inmates/residents in a secure correctional facility in Leavenworth, KS. This position offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to deliver critical care while leading and shaping the health services program.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct medical care including exams, diagnosis, treatment, and minor surgeries.
• Lead and oversee the medical team in collaboration with the Health Services Supervisor.
• Participate in treatment planning and unit operations.
• Monitor and review healthcare delivery and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with correctional, corporate, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain thorough medical records and ensure confidentiality.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide on-call coverage.
• Engage in interagency coordination and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of medicine.
• Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Kansas.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work in a correctional environment, handle emergencies, and lead with sound judgment.
